Nourishing Hope: Capacity Building at Yirgalem Hospital

In response to the critical issue of malnutrition in Yirgalem, we’re supporting the Nutritional treatment capacity of  Yirgalem General Hospital by providing necessary equipment and training man power.

Through our first mission, we delivered basic equipment and medications to the hospital. We conducted chart reviews and gave training for the staff on best practices in nutritional assessment.

We also went on site visits to local health centers and captured an up close situational analysis of the burden of child malnutrition and the opportunities available to address it.

Empowering Mothers: Support the Mum Project

We recognize the importance of nurturing both children and their caregivers. That’s why, through our Support the Mum Project, we are dedicated to providing food aid to mothers of malnourished children within the Yirgalem community.

By bolstering the health of both caretakers and their families, as well as financially enabling the mothers, we aim to break the cycle of malnutrition and contribute to a healthier, thriving community.

We are empowering mothers with financial resources and opportunities to enable them to become better equipped to provide nutritious food, medical care, and education for their families. This multifaceted approach addresses the root cause of malnutrition and lays the foundation for a sustainable, vibrant, and prosperous future for the entire community.
